This tool is excellent for trimming small quantities of shrubs. It is light weight and compact. I would not recommend this tool for trimming more than ten feet of low lying hedges though.

This is close to being a piece of junk. It discharges very quickly, has no power, barely cuts anything bigger than 1/16th of an inch.

Just what I was looking for Sep 30, 2009
This is the perfect tool for me. I have a large yard and a gardener, however, I prefer to do a lot of the trimming myself. I have both a chain saw and a large hedge trimmer, but they're overkill and/or personally dangerous for most of my needs. This shrubber is just the right size and weight to do most of what I have to do. Because it's so light and easy to use, I find that I use it frequently, and my yard is looking much better because I'm not putting off doing work with a tool which is unpleasant to operate.

I liked this product, as I do most Black and Decker products. It's very small, but extremely sturdy. It isn't meant for everything. If you have a small yard and not a lot of bushes, it's for you. You can't beat the value.

Black and Decker can improve this product by including a short booklet on how to cut different kinds of shrubs, or having a link to a website that does that. There are some types of shrubs and bushes this doesn't work with.

not good for general use, if you already have a long one, and really have tiny bushes to trim, you can buy one as a plus.
