One of CMT's Precision Dado Sets, the CMT 230.024.08 8" x 24 Tooth, 5/8" Bore, Precision Dado Blade Set is designed to set a new standard in performance. Now available in 6 or 8 diameter. The new 6 dado is perfect for smaller or somewhat underpowered table saws, like the typical 10 contractor saw. Both of these great tools offer features that make them ideal for any cabinetshop, including: Anti-kickback design to reduce the possibility of overfeeding that can occur when cutting mass material, splinter-resistant cuts in veneer plywood, melamine and hard or soft woods, four-tooth chippers that keep the cut flat & virtually free from tear out, 3/32 chipper made especially for undersize plywood, and shim sets included for cuts between 1/4 and 29/32.

1Big Problem  Nov 07, 2008
I am an active woodworker and use dado blades all the time. I purchased this dado set to replace an identical older CMT set which worked fine for many years. After wondering why my dados weren't working out, I measured the core blade and tooth thickness and discovered that they were wrong. For example, two blades plus four chippers will not cut a 3/4-inch dado. I called CMT about this, and they acknowledged that something was wrong (they had received similar calls)but they did not offer any help in resolving the problem. I will never buy another CMT blade...

5dado review  Feb 23, 2008
As my woodworking skills improve over time, I periodically upgrade my equipment. I recently purchased an eight inch, 24 tooth dado blade set from CMT. There is no comparison between my previous, less expensive set and the CMT. The CMT set cuts flat bottom dadoes and can be precisely set between 1/4 inch and 13/16 inch. The shim set that is included allows for accurate width dimensions. The old adage that "you get what you pay for" applies here but in this case it is a positive. Great equipment at a great price.
