Poulan Pro 99 4000c Oct 09, 2009 I attached this poulan to a troy bilt 31cc trimmer. Niether troy bilt or Poulan would state if they would work together. They do! Cleared some heavy 4 foot high brush with the product worked great. Have 2 1/2 acres and cut through some thick growth with no problem. Very happy with the poulan attachment and the power of the troy bilt.
Don't buy this unless you have an extra $30.00 spend Oct 08, 2009 This product is actually horrible. It does not cut very good at all. What I did to make it work is order a Grass Gator and then a Brush Guard from Gardner Products and converted this to a Full featured Grass Gator attachment. Now it will cut through anything.

okay for thin stuff, but anything over 1/2", better get the chainsaw out... Oct 04, 2009 Worked okay on thin brush stems, but I was trying to cut some wild rose bush stems and I'd have been better off just getting my chain saw out. My hands were still vibrating the next day from using this for an hour!

We're very pleased Jun 23, 2009 We purchased this attachment to go with the Poulan PP133 Pro 17-inch 33cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Straight Shaft Attachment Capable String Trimmer. There are so many trimmers out there it was a difficult choice, but I read that Poulan makes these and rebrands them for other companies (Sears is one example) so that gave me faith in the company. We gave it alot of useage and it didn't disappoint. It was easy to use and cut through small trees, bushes and all kinds of brush. We live in the country and were looking for a workhorse...this is it. We have used it so many times, for so many hours in such overgrowth, undergrowth and all kinds of growth that I have to highly recommend it. In fact, we bought a trimmer and brush cutter attachment for a gift.

A little disappointed May 22, 2009 The good:
The attachment comes with shoulder strap and "better" handle.
It only takes seconds to swap out and back in.
The bad:
The extra weight makes the unit vibrate significantly more, which quickly becomes tiresome.
It doesn't seem to be that effective - I was expecting thick brush to be "vaporized", but the blade seems a bit dull, and the amount of effort required was surprising.
As another review states - this item has limited use - weeds/shrubs around 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, too thick for a trimmer but not thick enough to need a chainsaw/pruner attachment.
Also, seems to get tangled up easier than the trimmer, but that might just be my inexperience using it...
Overall then, not bad, just not quite the "obliterator" I was expecting.
As usual, Amazon's delivery exceeded my expectations and their prices really cannot be bettered,
