The Swisher 40-inch dethatcher combs out built-up thatch with its 20 heat-treated steel spring tines. It attaches to the rear of your mower and clears a 40-inch wide path. Attach the dethatcher with a 1/2-inch pin-type hitch. The tines ride on 7 by 1-1/2-inch plastic tires, and you can place concrete blocks on the dethatcher's frame for added stability.
