Does a great job for the price, I used it on my whole yard since it is small in size, cut the grass, weeds, edged, great for what I paid for it. Would recommend, no problems with it as of yet.

unit works great, but seems loose at rotation point, has excess play,
but it does do all its asked to do, and string feed is great, still on original string! the wire loop for cutting edges is useless, (falls out) so I don't use it,
it was inexpensive, but works good!

I have bermuda grass and this proved to be a great product for me. Works like a charm. I wish it wasn't quite as heavy, but I can still use it. I am a 67 yr old female. It's building my muscles! Amazon shipped promptly!

What's to say? It's an electric Weed Eater that we bought from Amazon. I'm tempted to give it five stars, but honestly I can't work up that much excitement over a string trimmer.
We bought it because we were getting tired of the mess and frequent difficulty starting the gasoline model we had previously used. Now we push the button and it trims. The electric is not as powerful as the gasoline model, but our yard never required that much power in the first place.
The ability to twist the trim head is really handy for trimming along the sidewalk, and now we don't worry that hot oil will drip on our hands during the process, or that we might touch the muffler or spark plug wire. Of course now we have to drag a cord around, but overall the electric requires less effort, less maintenance, is quieter and much cleaner. It's also much lighter to carry around.
Amazon offered a good price on this item and it arrived promptly, without damage. We're happy with the product and there was nothing associated with the transaction to complain about.

I use the RTE115C primarily as an edger. I edge grass along an asphalt driveway, a brick pathway and along brick flower bed boarders. Total length is about 500 feet and I complete the task in about 10 min.
It cuts grass well and the swival head and its light weight make the unit easy to handle. Power is ample and trimmer line usage is reasonable. It is noisy enough that I feel more comfortable wearing ear plugs when using it (and with most motorized yard equipment). I'm 6 feet tall and would have liked a slightly longer handle. nevertheless, the RTE115C's combination of features and cost made it a "best buy" for my application.
A word of caution when ordering. Amazon lists products that other customers often order at the same time but don't order the "Weed Eater 952-701663 String Trimmer Spool for XT110/112/114/115 .065-Inch" which was listed as of 10/17/09. It doesn't fit this trimmer. The listed "Poulan/Weed Eater 952711602 Centrex RH 0.065-Inch Replacement Spool for RTE115" is correct.
Missing from the list of often ordered items is the trimmer line you will need if you plan to rewind the spool. The unit comes with a full spool installed but no extra spools or trimmer line are included.
